Sean Lyon - Pad

Human beings have always worked in tribes since the prehistoric era. Men and women would team up together for a common goal: survive. This behavior is hardwired in our brains and we learn what type of people we associate ourselves with. We experience it first-hand when we grow up from young children to young adults through public / private school. However, some folks, even through those years, still don’t know who or what they belong to.
PAD is about a high school student’s inner conflict of not belonging to a group of friends. He attempts to join activities in school, only to backfire each and every time. In the end, he learns that he shouldn’t try to be someone that he is not, and, in the end, finds another that relates to him. This film is based on my own struggles through high school and college (both Massasoit Community College and Lesley University: LA+D) and shows the perspective of a “lone wolf’s” struggle in the social hierarchy.
