Hannah Mellon - Emu War

For my Emu War animation, I chose to use a mix of media to convey the playfulness and silliness of this historic event. While originally aiming to do stop-motion (either claymation or paper cutouts), I decided to use digital 2d animation in Adobe Animate with live-action clay models for certain props and objects. My biggest influence would be my younger brother, who has a fondness of geography, history, and comedy. I specifically asked him for his favorite silly historical events to get my idea. While the process of completing the animation might have been difficult during this semester, I learned quite a few resourceful tricks to minimize work without cutting back on quality. I hope that viewers will find amusement in world history while watching, and perhaps learn something new.
