Michelle Holt - The Rabbits Are Dead

Both a self-portrait and a catharsis piece, The Rabbits Are Dead aims to convey the emotional turmoil one is thrown in when sudden traumatic events take place. This work is both personal and universal and the artist encourages any type of emotional response or connection to this piece whether or not it agrees with the original message. Art is subjective, after all. The Rabbits Are Dead utilizes hand drawn traditional animation, digital collage, live action footage, and digital puppeting.
