Hell of a Day
Emily Paquin

Brandon Ambo

Using Adobe Animate and Photoshop, we spent the semester creating a story that explores what Halloween would be like from the perspective of a monster. We hope to bring a unique take on the common “monsters on Halloween” trope. The artwork of Graham Anable or “Grickle” influenced our film Hell of a Day. Our team enjoys the simplicity of his animation and storytelling. During the making of this short, we faced many obstacles and not just because we were sent home to quarantine. We learned quickly how to pick up extra work when some of us needed time to adjust to the new situation or to recover from an injury. We learned to look after each other, and in a way, this echoes how the characters in our film care for each other.
